Thanks to a small group of enthusiasts, it has been proved that Korsør Biograf Teater is the oldest cinema in the world still being run from the original premises. On 25 July 2008, Korsør Biograf Teater was designated by Guinness World of Records as the oldest cinema in the world still operating.
